A wonderful end to a fantastic half term!
Alhamdulillaah on Thursday afternoon, we came to the end of Summer half term 2018 at the Tuition Club and to celebrate the achievements of our home-schooled students we held an activities afternoon highlighting the contributions made by men and women in Muslim civilisation across the world.
In order to reward our home-schooled students for their hard work and efforts this half term, we will be hosting an invention activities afternoon next Thursday.
The afternoon will give students the opportunity to explore and discover the legacy of Muslim civilization.
Our home-schooled pupils have been extending their learning by practising different embroidery techniques during their design and textile lessons.
They were asked to choose one technique and demonstrate the skill that they had learnt on printed fabric. This followed on to some of our students turning the fabric and textile work into pouches and pencil cases.
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
After careful consideration the Management Team have decided that during the blessed month of Ramadhaan The Tuition Club will operate at slightly different hours. This is to bring ease to those who are fasting and may find it difficult to arrive at 10am after night prayers etc.
The opening times for Ramadhaan will be as follows: 11am – 4pm
Please ensure that children arrive no later than 10.50am as this will cause disruption as classes will start at 11am sharp, in shaa Allaah.
These temporary opening times will commence on Monday 21st May. Normal opening hours will resume after the half term and Eid, on Monday 18th June in shaa Allah.
We ask Allah that he allows us all to benefit from Ramadhaan.
Some of our home-schooled pupils have been creating these wonderful vibrant jigsaw puzzles. These puzzles are made from original artwork that the children have produced.
Our Young Learners were introduced to aspects of Road Safety and how to keep safe. Children got to experience how to cross the road in a safe manner with the aid of the staff.
This first hand experience allowed children to help understand knowing the Green Cross Code and how to use it properly.
This Workshop consisted of students being taught how to use the Internet safely and correctly.
An introduction to what we use the internet for was addressed as well the positive aspects and dangers of the Internet. Social networks, Cyber Bullying, how to stay safe online and asking for help and advice when unsure were also discussed.
