Garden Club

We are excited to announce that the Garden Club will re-start onsite on Friday 23rd April 2021 at 11:00am In shaa Allaah.

The weekly club will give children the opportunity to be part of our learning garden by planting and growing a variety of plants, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. This is an excellent opportunity for children to learn about the scientific processes involved in gardening such as facts about plant growth and compost making in a practical and fun environment!

The Garden Club will give children a sense of responsibility and friendship, it will also enhance Fine Motor Development and introduce them to Scientific Concepts.

Please note: The Garden Club is now taking place on a different day to the Girls Club (the Girls Club will now be taking place on Sundays In Shaa Allah)

The club costs £3 per session for ages 6+ and will run from 11:00am to 12:00pm every Friday.

Paper Crafts in Art!

We have been crafting in Art! our students in class 6-7 have been crafting using paper and card as the primary artistic medium for the creation of one, two or three-dimensional objects. Paper craft lend themselves to a wide range of techniques and can be folded, curved, bent, cut, glued, molded, stitched, or layered. Paper is readily available and easier to work with than the more complicated media typically used in the creation of three-dimensional artwork, such as ceramics or wood.  It is also neater to work with than paints, dyes, and other coloring materials. Paper crafts may also be used in theraputic settings, providing children with a safe and uncomplicated creative outlet to express feelings. The children throuroughly enjoyed their crafting session and were able to take home a proud peice of paper craft with the 5 pillars of Islam!

Wonderful Trip to Kenyon Hall Farm!

Our garden club attendees had a wonderful trip to Kenyon Hall Farm on Tuesday.

The children attended an educational farm tour, in which they learnt about the different fruit and vegetables grown on the farm. This gave an in-depth insight into food production, nutrition and healthy eating.

This was then followed by a ‘Pick Your Own Fruit/Vegetable’ activity, which added a hands-on learning experience to the trip. The attendees had a lot of fun picking garden peas and were very excited to take them home to show their parents.
