We have been crafting in Art! our students in class 6-7 have been crafting using paper and card as the primary artistic medium for the creation of one, two or three-dimensional objects. Paper craft lend themselves to a wide range of techniques and can be folded, curved, bent, cut, glued, molded, stitched, or layered. Paper is readily available and easier to work with than the more complicated media typically used in the creation of three-dimensional artwork, such as ceramics or wood. It is also neater to work with than paints, dyes, and other coloring materials. Paper crafts may also be used in theraputic settings, providing children with a safe and uncomplicated creative outlet to express feelings. The children throuroughly enjoyed their crafting session and were able to take home a proud peice of paper craft with the 5 pillars of Islam!

Our garden club attendees had a wonderful trip to Kenyon Hall Farm on Tuesday.
The children attended an educational farm tour, in which they learnt about the different fruit and vegetables grown on the farm. This gave an in-depth insight into food production, nutrition and healthy eating.
This was then followed by a ‘Pick Your Own Fruit/Vegetable’ activity, which added a hands-on learning experience to the trip. The attendees had a lot of fun picking garden peas and were very excited to take them home to show their parents.
As part of our weekly Garden Club our home-schooled attendees will be visiting Kenyon Hall Farm in Warrington tomorrow Tuesday 23rd July in shaa Allaah.
The exciting visit will include an educational farm tour, which covers some general farming topics from the ‘food and farming’ tour, with particular focus on visiting the fruit and vegetables growing on the farm at the time.
