Students have been learning about some of the most common words and phrases for food & drink in Arabic.
They participated in a fun engaging hands-on cooking activity which helped the children not only to learn the words and phrases but also aided in developing confidence in the children’s various skills and abilities.
This week some of our pupils have been getting their hands dirty, uncovering archaeological objects from dig boxes, using child-friendly sand.
Key Stage 2 Pupils were eager to share stories during their Arabic Language lesson of what they enjoyed during their summer holidays.
Students produced written poster work to highlight what they did during their vacation as well as demonstrating past tense conversation in a role play/passage activity.
To mark the end of the year, our home-schooled students took part in a confidence and self-esteem building activity.
The activity helped bring a fun practical and positive outlook to help children develop and maintain healthy self-esteem by encouraging feelings of competence and self-worth.
Key stage 2 pupils have been having fun during Maths lessons. They have been solving mysteries focusing on areas of reasoning and problem solving.
Students got to discuss the problem posed in the mystery as a class and find possible strategies for reaching a solution.
Testing the pH level of a substance tells you if that substance is acidic, basic or neutral. One simple experiment to explore pH levels involves testing several everyday items you might use at work or at home.
Our home-schooled pupils got to test and determine the pH levels of liquids such as water (using different types of bottle and tap water) washing liquid, toilet cleaner, bleach, vinegar etc.
Alhamdullilah on Saturday we hosted our annual fun day for the community.
This was an opportunity of celebration in general as well as for students who attend the Quran School, Saturday School and the Tuition Club.
As a reward students received free tickets to access and enjoy the activities throughout the day.
Alhamdulillaah yesterday afternoon we came to the end of summer term 2018 at the Tuition Club and to celebrate the achievements of our home schooled students, we held an end of term ceremony and a parents afternoon.
