Clayton Vale Geography Trip!

On Thursday 23rd June our Geography students in Class 9-11 visited Clayton Vale, in order to investigate the River Medlock.

Students have been learning about rivers and the water cycle in geography, and this trip gave them the opportunity to investigate a river for themselves. Students investigated the colour of the river and the presence of water weed, grey algae, froth, oil and litter. They also looked at the water quality, and recorded the speed (velocity) of the stream.

Both students and tutors had a great time at Clayton Vale, and found the trip very beneficial alhamdulillaah.
