Jaguar Land Rover Factory Tour!

A great educational trip for our home schooled students!

On Thursday 9th September some of our home schooled students visited the world renowned Jaguar Land Rover Manufacturing plant in Liverpool for a factory tour.  

An experienced tour guide talked students through the manufacturing process, which covered the Press shop, Body-in-White build and, Trim & Final stage with an explanation of Right-First-Time, Just-In-Time and Lean Working.

The tour was then followed by a career based workshop, in which students learnt about the different career opportunities available to them in the manufacturing field and apprenticeship schemes they could consider in the future.

By taking part in the trip our home schooled students were able to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world of work and make connections between what they learn in the classroom and a real life business. They also gained a great insight into how a modern manufacturing facility operates.

Alhamdulillaah it was an enjoyable day for all and we would like to thank all those involved.
